Equine Vet Care

Imaging

Our hospital is fully equipped to take digital radiographs (X-rays) for your horse. Radiographs are a very important tool to help us diagnose issues with your horse most commonly involving the bones, joints, teeth and chest. Often to help with image quality most horses are sedated. It is Important to not we have a mobile radiographic unit that comes with us on our out and about trips.

At Greater Whitsunday Vet Services, we currently have the latest ultrasound technology. Ultrasound is used predominantly to look at soft or fluid filled organs and to assess tendons in our equine friends. Like radiographs our patients are usually sedated and is often done in conjunction with radiographs to obtain a full diagnostic picture.
