Insurance & Payment Options

Insurance

At Greater Whitsunday Vet Services, we acknowledge that things often can go wrong for your pet, and this can place families under financial pressure, when deciding what’s best for their pet.

We are the only Vet clinic in the region that partners with GAPONLY, which partners with many pet insurance companies to process claims on the spot reducing your out-of-pocket expenses, cutting out the waiting time for reimbursement from traditional insurance claims. We highly recommend all of our patients to be insured as we see many benefits. Our staff even insure their own animals. So come in and have a chat with our lovely staff or give us a call if you have any questions about GAPONLY.

Payment Options

Although we don’t have our own internal payment plans here at Greater Whitsunday Vet Services, we do offer several external options to set up and use. These are Vetpay, Zippay and Afterpay. If you would like to sign up or would like to use one of these options, please talk to us during your consultation we are happy to assist.

With VetPay, you can arrange for your pet's treatments and services to be paid over a period of time, easing the financial burden while ensuring your pet receives necessary care promptly. It offers peace of mind by allowing you to focus on your pet's health without immediate payment constraints.

With ZipPay, you can enjoy your pet's treatments and services immediately while paying later in flexible instalments. It's a simple and transparent way to manage your veterinary expenses, ensuring that your pets receive the care they need without financial stress.

Emergency Assistance

Our Vets and nurses are available for afterhours emergencies for our clients 7 days a week. If you believe your animal is having an emergency, please contact us on 07 4786 1010 and follow the prompts. Here you will reach a member of our nursing team to help triage the situation.

Remember Greater Whitsunday Vet Services is a small team and not only do our vets and nurses work during the day but then go on call when they are at home at night. Please be courteous and only call if there is a genuine emergency. We understand it is a stressful time but please be courteous to staff as no aggression, violence or abuse is tolerated at our clinic.
